Hello,
So, I’ve been doing a lot of route planning for flights that aren’t covered by real-world airlines or charters, which means I’m often stuck creating my own routes. One thing I’ve noticed is that SimBrief’s auto-route function doesn’t always hit the mark – it either throws out weird routings or something that’s practically a straight shot.
For me, I love using High IFR Airways for my flights, but right now, I find myself manually scanning the map, trying to figure out where the airway ends. It’s a bit of a pain, especially when there are tons of intersecting airways nearby.
QOL Feature Request: What if you could just click on an airway, and it would highlight the whole thing? Simple, but it would save a ton of time and hassle, especially when you’re dealing with complex routes. It’s a small quality of life improvement that could make planning so much smoother.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who could benefit from this
So for example im planned DFW - NTAA
Simbriefs routing: WORTH1 PODDE DLF ALRES MZT 20N109W 16N114W 11N120W 0330N130W 06S140W ASOKI ASOK4K
My routing (Now in the simbrief’s route database): KING4 SPS J72 TXO J74 PKE MOMAR MZB C1156 MALIT C1177 FICKY G575 ORARE ASOKI ASOK4K
With my routing, I had to move the map and follow airways: J72, J74, C1156. If i couldve just click on those airways and it highlighted the whole airway it wouldve taken 2 seconds to know if those are the right airways to take.
