AIRAC 2410 again messes up MSFS 2020

Hi and yes the new fix from MSFS 2020 helped with the AA03 problem. But today we got AIRAC 2410 and it again causes problems. In my case blank FMC screens in Asobo 747-8i and not able to turn on external power in Asobo 787-10. However, after removing AIRAC 2410 there are no problems. However, reinstalling AIRAC 2410 won’t solve these issues. The AIRAC must be kept uninstalled. Sad story.

Hi,
Welcome to Navigraph. I have just tested your report, but I can’t reproduce it.

Here, from my system with AIRAC 2410 installed:

Do you see this behavior in other stock/default aircraft or only in the 787? Because you wrote in your subject/title, “AIRAC 2410 again messes up MSFS2020”. I assume this 787 issue is only an example of one of your issues, right?

Again, I can’t reproduce it on my system, and honestly, I don’t know how we should “control” the external power with our data. But we have seen in the last couple of days that we have no absolute control over what they change and in which way—that’s a sad story.

Cheers
Richard

PS: … and yes, I have started the 787 from a cold/dark cockpit on

Yes as I said on the Asobo 747-8i the captain and center FMC screens are blank. The FMC at the FO side is working. And as I said after removing the AIRAC 2410 all works fine again. Then after installing it again the same problems. I don’t know why the issue can’t be reproduced on your side but it might be related to different MSFS updates and fixes installed. The AIRAC 2410 just came out. So let’s see if I am the only one or not. Can I roll back to AIRAC 2409?

Hi,
Again, the question? Do you see this issue only on the 787 or other stock aircraft like the A320v2 or Garmin-equipped aircraft?

No, that´s not possible, sorry.

Cheers,
Richard

As I said: 747-8i (which is different from Dreamliner 787-10). You can check 747-8i maybe the issues with the blank FMC screens. I can check other airplanes if I have time. Thanks.

I’m sorry. It was my fault—I hadn´t read it exactly. I have tried the 747 now but with the same result. It’s not reproducible.

Also, from cold&dark cockpit on, with AIRAC 2410 installed (captain seat):

It would be interesting if it´s working in the 787 on your system because I can´t really believe that this has something to do with the data, even when it looks so for you. I´m sorry.

Cheers,
Richard

The only thing I can tell that it’s highly reproducible: with AIRAC 2410 installed I have these issues. After removing AIRAC 2410 these issues are gone. So it must have something to do with the AIRAC. I also tried at other airports with same results. So for now we can only wait if others have similar issues. I am using Win 11 on an advanced gaming PC. Yesterday when I started MSFS 2020 I had a notification on a small overlay window that my sim needs an update. So I installed it. Then after the sim started the AA03 update was installed. All was fine with AIRAC 2409. Today there was another MSFS update that I had to install. Again all was fine. Then I was notified about the new AIRAC 2410 which I installed and my issues appeared.

Okay, let us wait. To date, we have no report or ticket in our system or the MSFS forum about an issue between our data and the ASOBO stock 747.

When the data are corrupt and/or have an issue, we would see this normally immediately after the release and in all aircraft, not in a special one only, but we will see if we get any more reports of this issue.

Cheers,
Richard

OK and here are some before/after screens.

Hi,
Thank you. I trust you, but I will say that this has nothing to do with the data, even when it looks so to you. I have no explanation for why this happened when the cycle was installed or why it doesn´t happen with the stock data.

But as you offered, let us wait a few days to see if we get any other reports (here or on the MSFS forum) on this - as I wrote, I can´t reproduce it.

Cheers,
Richard

I deleted the MSFS rolling cache then set it back to it’s original 8 GB. Issue has been resolved. Thanks for your time. If you want can delete this post.

Thank you very much for the feedback and for sharing your solution to this. It is much appreciated.

No, we don´t delete any postings because we see every posting as important, and possibly someone will find the “solution” here nowadays. I have marked your last posting as a “solution.”

Thank you very much,
Richard
