Hello @SimBrief!
All info in this post has been confirmed by real world SWA pilots and dispatchers and is 100% fact-based.
Regarding the Simbrief SWA OFP format’s date in the top right corner on each page, it does not match real world format.
EXAMPLE: July 18, 2025, the real world format is 07/18/25. The current format in the Simbrief SWA OFP format is 18/07/25, which is incorrect. The zulu time format next to it however is correct and matches real world.
Here is a screenshot from a real world release, as an example of what it is supposed to look like:
Also regarding the NAVIGATION ACCURACY CHECK section on the SWA OFP format:
This section only is supposed to appear on the release if its an ETOPS planned flight. So we should only be seeing this section on the release if the user specifically chose to plan an ETOPS flight.
Regular Domestic and Flag operation flights do not have this section on the release at all.
Lastly, another real world dispatcher I know ran into an issue recently trying to generate a simbrief release using the SWA OFP format.
It incorrectly split up a specific section of the release onto 2 different pages. Simply put, if a whole section will not fit on the same page, then the entire section will roll over to the next page.
Here is an example of what I mean:
Since M4000 and M6000 lines had to move to the next page because not enough room, then the ENTIRE “ALTITUDE/ROUTE OPTIONS” section is supposed to roll over to the next page. Its not supposed to be split into 2 separate pages.
Other than that, I think this OFP format is an exact match to the real deal. Tremendous work sir!
Thank you for everything as always Derek!
