Where is the desktop shortcut?

I have just had to update the hub and the desktop shortcut disappeared even a reinstall does not give it back. I now have no way of opening the thing since windows does not find it either when I search for Navigraph hub. Clearly it seems there when it opens after the install but how am I expected to open it if I can’t have any shortcuts?

Could you at least give the default install path to the executable so that I can create my own link? Sorry but his is VERY annoying…

Hi! Welcome back to the forum.

The latest update indeed changed the behavior to not automatically install a desktop shortcut. It should still be available when searching though, it’s a bit odd that it is not available to you…

This topic is already covered in existing topics, and the opinions are divided. Here are two examples:

We’ll consider making this optional in some way so that you can pick what you prefer yourself in a future update! In the meantime, you can find the executable here:

%localappdata%\Programs\navigraph-hub

Kind Regards,

Hi, I saw that my last post was referenced here so I thought this would be the best place to bring this up…

I checked my computer for the folder where it was indicated the executable could be found, and the folder was empty. I do not remember uninstalling the program; I had to redownload and reinstall Navigraph Hub for the executable and supporting files to appear. Still no desktop shortcut.

Jose

Hi Jose,

After installation, as a workaround, you should be able to create the desktop shortcut to

%localappdata%\Programs\navigraph-hub

Cheers
