I usually copy some of the PDF information into a Word document and Sim Brief will not allow me to copy the information from the PDF any longer. This started yesterday and I noticed that the information that I want to copy now turns blue when I highlight it.
Hi…,
When you highlight the text and it turns blue, press Ctrl-C to copy or mouse over blue text and select copy. Then in Word press Ctrl-V or Paste.
It works fine here. I don’t believe there has been a change to stop copy/paste of pdf document.
Have you added any software to your system which might be blocking this copy/paste?
Cheers
Ian
Hi Ian,
That’s the way I’ve always done it and then all of a sudden yesterday it stopped working. I am on a Mac and I spoke with Apple they are not sure why and Microsoft is equally baffleled.
I’ve tried copying and pasting from SImbrief to other programs and it doesn’t work with any of them. It could be the last upgrade with Navigraph?
Andy
Hi Andy, Navigraph/SimBrief have not changed anything related to the PDF files in at least several weeks.
In any case, there is nothing special about the PDF files we create. They should behave the same as any other PDF.
It does sound like it’s something on your end which has changed, but I can’t think of anything to suggest at the moment. Perhaps try opening some other PDF on the internet (not from SimBrief) and see if you have the same issue?
Best regards,
Hi,
I tried it on 4 different PDFs and the only 1 that has a problem is the one from
Navigraph/Simlink.
This is boggling my mind!
