I seem to be having the same problem as many others with simlink not connecting.
when I click on the arrow for Moving Maps i get the message:-
“Could not connect to simulator. Simlink needs to be running”.
My computer tells me that simlink is running. and that “Navigraph Simlink cannot detect a flight in your simulator”. and “Not broadcasting flight data to server”. Version 1.1.34.2901
Clicking on “Retrieve flight data” just returns the message “No flight data found on server”.
Please check my accounts as I appear to have three, and suspect that I am signed in on one for “Navigraph Charts” and another for “Navigraph Simlink”.
I have followed all sorts of remedies from posts on the forum, most seem very complicated, and I am rapidly losing heart.
I have gone through the procedure “unable to Login to Simlink - #2 by Ian” and got no joy .
then followed “unable to Login to Simlink - #4 by vishalahir” to find that on opening the settings file in Notepad there is no [Proxy] (see attached)
As I said before when I click on the Moving Maps icon in Navigraph Charts I get the message
“Cannot connect to Simulator Simlink needs to be running”. but simlink is running according to my computer…
I have noticed on my Navigraph Account Devices page Simlink is not there.
I am now totally stressed out with this problem, as I’m sure you are too.
I have followed both your and Ian’s instructions several times to no avail.
Please see the attached “Simlink File Locations”.
Are they the correct location?
Is there something missing?
Am I missing something, apart from a few brain cells?
All this hassle does not appear to be worth the effort.
