SimLink for Linux & X-Plane... again

Hi there!
I do actually enjoy the service provided by Navigraph with Charts and also SimBrief. The only wish would be to have a Linux Simlink for moving maps in Charts. Well, I read a numerous requests in this regard, so here is one more:

Please do implement a Linux version of Simlink, taking in consideration that Linux is indeed a mainstream OS, X-Plane can be used very well on Linux and even on a such popular platform as Steam (it does not get more mainstream than this  ).

And just as a side note: if you would (again) tell about your monitoring of your Linux user base and not feeling like there is a need for Linux Simlink, I think it would be good to consider giving some concrete numbers, like persentage of Linux users.

Best regards, Leonid

Hi,

Please add your vote here if you have not already: Moving map support for X-Plane on Linux

We might consider Linux support in the future if the demand is sufficient.

Kind regards,

Stephen

Thanks for the responce!
Added my vote! :crossed_fingers:

Added my vote too. But shouldn’t this be posted on the org? Now nobody sees it.

You are free to share the link anywhere! Judging by how much traction the Zibo format topic got, it’s been done before

Nice! I really love this service B.T.W. A must for the serious aviation enthusiast!

Thank you for the kind words! They are much appreciated.

Now you have one more demand for this feature!
Remember the guys who have the same wish but doesn’t spend time to post here.

I think there are much more of us out there.

I am using X-Plane 11.

Best regards,
Bernd

At the current moment, our statistics do not agree with your statement. Additionally, none of us developers are running Linux, so supporting and testing such a product would not be an insignificant task.

That said, you are free to share the wishlist topic that is already linked to in this thread as much as you want to raise awareness! The more votes the topic gets, the higher up on our priority it comes.

I will close this thread now. If you have any additional constructive comments or feedback, feel free to add them to the wishlist topic!

Kind Regards,
Malte
