Simbrief plans and the ff a350

Greeting guys,

I’ve started using the FF A350 again but I just wanted to know whether I can import a SIMBRIEF plan into the FMS and the aircraft loading pages into the EFB ? I can find the flight plan but can’t seem how to import the loading data; the tabs are there but nothing seems to happen.

Regards,

TG

Hi, unfortunately I am not familiar with how the FF A350 has integrated SimBrief.

Perhaps there is some info in their documentation, or maybe consider reaching out to their support or user forum.

@Rodeo314 might also have some ideas, if he’s around.

Best regards,

This was recently discussed here:

Thanks for the prompt reply but I don’t feel any wiser about whether Simbrief and the FF350 are integrated in the same way that the Toliss aircraft are. I suppose that the question should be directed to FF as to what their plans are and if there’s a timescale. It would be nice to know and save a lot of hassle setting up a flight!

I’m using XP12.02.2 beta and FF A350 v1.75.

There are screenshots in the linked thread about where to place your Simbrief ID for flight plan import.

I don’t have time to elaborate further right now, but I’ll see what I can come up with later/tomorrow.

Thanks Tim, I’ve already found where the Simbrief account info goes, but I’m not sure whether it does anything. I’ve asked questions on the FF A350 tech support site and I’m awaiting a reply

It’s not terribly complicated.

(1) generate a briefing on Simbrief

(2) enter your Simbrief ID on the A350’s options page (left-hand side display)

(3) ensure you have the same AIRAC cycle in X-Plane and on Simbrief

  • and/or enable “ignore airac/ac type mismatch” on the same options page (the latter should work so long as all the waypoints and airways in your planned Simbrief route also exist in the AIRAC cycle used by the aircraft)

(4) choose between either of the two “company flight plan request” buttons on the FMS init page and click on one of said buttons

Tim

Thanks, I’ll look at that later today
