i downloaded the flightplan manually, and also through the downloader app, where is the fms file supposed to go? the downloader says it cannot detect any folder for this addon.
using X-plane 11, currently in FF-A350

Hi, the FF-A350 documentation should provide some guidance as to where to place the downloaded flight plan.
It’s possible there is also a way to enter your SimBrief username or Pilot ID into the aircraft settings to be able to automatically uplink your flight plan without having to download a file.
Best regards,
By “fms file” you probably mean the “X-Plane 11/12” entry in your flight’s “downloads” section, correct?
The Simbrief downloader should be able to automatically download and place the “fms file” in the correct location for your version of X-Plane; here the addon is X-Plane itself, rather than the FlightFactor A350 specifically.
To load a route from an X-Plane FMS file in the A350 by FlightFactor, you could then follow the instructions in the latter part of this forum post:
Basically, using the RTE SEL button next to the CPNY RTE field on the FMS1 > INIT page.
There is also a field where you can enter your Simbrief ID (the all-digits one, not your Simbrief username) on the aircraft’s Options page on the EFB (left of the navigation display)-- once entered there, you can import directly from Simbrief using CPNY F-PLN REQUEST on the FMS1 > INIT page.
Regards,
Tim
I got it working now, the file the downloaded was trying to put it in did not exist for some reason
