Runway Not Used Icons

The latest update to Navigraph Charts contains a new feature that appears on the “Set Runway” panel… it is a red box labeled “NOT USED”. In some cases most of the runways listed have this warning designation. When I click on the icon it usually opens a PilotEdge Metar report for that runway. I looked through the Introduction to NC document and did not see anything regarding this new feature. Can you please tell me what this is for, why so many runways have this warning and how to properly use this new feature? Thanks!

PS… I downloaded and reinstalled the Simlink Plugin, taking care to uninstall/reinstall the existing XP plugin as well and I believe all previous issues of this plugin not working have now been solved. Thanks Malte (Skysail) for his assistance with this.

Hi,

This is an indication from ATIS telling you whether this runway is designated for arrival or departues, or being ”not in use”. This information is not from METAR but from ATIS. We have written a blog post about it here: Navigraph
