When i get the metars ie qnh 1014 at the departure airport Im getting the actually elevation above sea level and not the runway height. In uk the pressure should give us altitude as zeron and not alt above sea level.

Hi Graham, do you have a reference for this in the UK AIP? As far as I know, QNH is almost always used in the UK these days.
I think there are some situations where QFE may be requested, but it is not the norm.

I’ve read on another site that the metars provider maybe at fault.
