I have just installed the disk PMDG 747-400X into my Steam FSX and have Installed PMDG (all compatible products) in Navigraph FMS Data Manager. Everything works fine with the aircraft except landing the ILS approach is off to the right of the runway. It has the correct Star’s but does not follow what’s on the map. Is this a PMDG problem or do I need to do more steps loading PMDG into the FMS Data Manager?
Thanks,
Jim
Hi…,
For which airport and runway? Please provide screenshots showing the issue using Posting Guide - Uploading Screenshots
Cheers

Hi Ian,
The airports that I’ve tried are KSFO and KPHX both from Flightbeam for FSX. I have also tried KPDX default airport all with the same problem. I have done a lot of google searches and a few included, some are very old more than 10 years ago.

ILS APPROACH LINE_UP - PMDG 747-400 (Legacy Versions) - The AVSIM Community
I just loaded the PMDG 474-400x, set up a flight form LAX to LGB… The landing runway is ILS 30 with a heading of 301… The FMS has the heading as 305 degrees, when The aircraft captured the localizer, it tracked to the right side of the runway…Now so far I’ve noticed that the FMS settings are incorrect for KSNA as well, ILS 19R is set at 208, not 198 … how do you fix this?

Pictures attached are landing at KPHX, plane comes in to the right of the RW and map shows it to come in from the left. Does not follow the glideslope Nav/Rad 111.75/258. I have tried my Aerosoft A320, same approach and it works perfectly.
Thanks for your time,
Jim
Hi…
I dont believe this is a Navigraph issue, more likely a scenery issue. You could confirm by removing the addon scenery.

One additional tip:
Try to remove the 747 and re-install it without any AIRAC update. After that try it again, you use the default data than … when this happenend too, you know something is wrong in the sim.
When its working as expected, update the data and it should work too.
As Ian mentioned, the navdata updates the FMC but not any scenery positions. The coordinates of the localizer of your example airport are absolutely correct in the PMDG files. So it must be another issue.
Cheers
Richard
