Hi!
I work for a legacy airline in europe and I’d very much like to see our OFP format (a variation of the LIDO OFPs) implemented in SimBrief. Seeing that it isn’t possible for users to build their own templates (like PFPX allowed us to), how can I make this happen? Are the developers open to this? I can provide OFP examples if necessary.
Thanks!

Hi everyone,
Any updates on this @jsokoloff @Ian ?
We are a pretty well established VA on Vamsys with over 2000 registered members and this is one of the most frequent requests from members. We have both medium and long haul real OFPs (with and without ETOPS section) flying E190, A319/A320/A321 and A330. We don’t mind helping out as much as we can
Thanks in advance!

After months, it saddens us to see that developers won’t even bother replying. Have you even looked into this @SimBrief ?
Hi, sorry for not responding sooner. I have looked at an older sample from the airline you are referring to, and assuming the layout hasn’t changed, it’s fairly different from existing layouts. Which means it will be quite a big job to add (it isn’t something I can just fit in when I have some spare time).
The road map is already basically packed until at least next year, especially with the new sim release coming up. At the moment I can’t estimate when I would be able to add this layout unfortunately.
Your request has been noted however and is in the backlog for a possible future update.
Best regards,
Hey again, and thanks for coming back to me on that @SimBrief !
It has changed indeed last year but in very minor things, I’m not sure if the example you have seen is pre or post changes. In any case it shouldn’t make a real difference…
Regarding complexity, at least that I can remember you wouldn’t need any other data fields that aren’t already a part of other formats, it’s more about rearranging the layout so things pop up in the right place.
If there is anything I can do to help out, even if I have to do it myself and all you need to do is inject it in the system and test it out, please feel free to reach out as I’ll be more than glad to help out and have the availability to do so.
Best regards
