Navigraph/VATSIM Weather integration

It is my understanding that the weather reported for an airport in Navigraph | Information | Weather is real-world METAR based, so:

  • Is my understanding above correct ?
  • I have been told on the VATSIM site that VATSIM weather is also real-world METAR based, therefore the two should match with perhaps some differences in the timing of reporting weather changes. Is this expectation correct ?

Any advice/direction on Navigraph/VATSIM weather synchronization would be appreciated. I run MSFS2020.

Hello, you are correct in that the weather is pulled from real-world sources. MSFS, however will show a delay, sometimes a bit noticeable to current.
