Missing Traffic - Observation

I did not want to add to other post related to missing traffic but made an observation which needs to be fixed.

Airline callsigns starting with zero, e.g. AAL071 are not showing up on traffic display. It flashes on then disappears. Confirmed when removing the zero.

FYI…I believe ICAO flight plans require 3-digit number.

I don’t have online traffic at all…

Please keep it factual … posting has been changed. Thank you!

Can’t confirm this problem here:

Another case is not visible in the PC “app” but in all other Charts clients, probably due to it being a widebody 777:

This certainly not. The classic Concorde BAW1/2 flights between EGLL and KJFK wouldn’t have been possible then.

Also, just look at all the UAE A388 flying around currently with single and double digit numbers.

I’ve scanned several relevant ICAO docs (Doc 4444 PANS-ATM, Annex 10) and other than a limit on max 7 characters for an ICAO FPL call sign, the numbers are always just referred as “flight identification” with no further specification and limits. So, I cannot find any reason why leading zeros should be off-limits nor any reason having to use leading zeros.

No online traffic at all currently… just stopped displaying with no changes to any settings, addons etc… for information. I’m sure an update will rectify it at some point.

Same here, had ATC a couple of minutes ago but no traffic. Now, ATC has disappeared as well.

This is on Vatsim but seems to be the same on IVAO when I quickly checked.

Seems this feature is a bit off and on all the time. I hope it will eventually become more reliable because I absolutely love being able to see online traffic like this directly on the Navigraph map.

Same here. I started noticing it last night. The iPad app showed all VATSIM traffic near me, but the desktop app was missing some planes. I couldn’t undestand why.

Today, it’s all gone in both apps. Both traffic and ATC. I restarted the apps a bunch of times, turned online networks on and off, etc.

Other Vatsim clients (Vatscope, Vatsim Radar) seem to show things correctly, so I don’t believe it’s a source data issue.

Hey,
I’ve noticed an issue with in-app live traffic—it either doesn’t load at all or takes several minutes to display. Is this a known issue, and is there an ETA for a fix?
Thanks

Thank you for participating in the Online Networks Beta. Your advice is useful. We shall work on each of the beta issues as they arise.

Hello everyone!

We had some issues with our servers yesterday that likely led to missing traffic in some cases. Those issues have since been fixed and the servers are currently stable.

I see two different issues in this topic unfortunately. One is All traffic missing, another is some traffic missing. The latter is being investigated in other forum topics and has nothing to do with yesterday’s outage.

That said: Does anyone in here still have issues with no traffic being shown?

Kind Regards,
Malte

Just checked and today both traffic and ATC is showing over here :+1:

Thanks for confirming! We’re looking into how we can improve things in the future. It is a beta after all! We are tracking the disappearing aircraft in another topic, so I consider this one solved for now.

One other thing and if it’s not related, let me know and I’ll create a separate topic but when running your app on my Samsung tablet and when going back to your app after having had some other app in focus, I every now and then end up with a Navigraph map that is completely white. No traffic, no countries, no FIR:s no nothing. The only thing I see is the icon of my own aircraft.

What I’ve learned is when this happens, I can get everything back by disabling online traffic and ATC and then reenable it. However, when doing this, my route from origin to destination which is normally drawn on the map disappears. Only way to get it back seems to be to unload the flight and the reload it.

It is not related to this topic, but it is related to this one:

There are a couple of others that are related. So far, I have not seen any reports of this happening on Android, though - on the contrary, we have seen reports of it working on Android but not on iOS! I will note your observation, we are still investigating this.

Got it, thanks for the info and if it’s of interest to you, I’m using a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 Plus with all the latest updates etc installed.
