LFKJ AJACCIO-ILS RWY02 missing airac2608

Hello,

I have noticed an issue with LFKJ (Ajaccio Napoleon Bonaparte) using the latest AIRAC 2608 rev.1.

In Navigraph Charts, when selecting an approach for RWY 02, I can only see:

  • LOC Y RWY 02
  • LOC Z RWY 02
  • RNAV Y RWY 02
  • RNAV Z RWY 02

The ILS Y RWY 02 and ILS Z RWY 02 are no longer offered as ILS approaches.

However, the current French AIP still publishes the ILS for RWY 02 (LOC AC 110.30 MHz with Glide Path), and the Jeppesen/Navigraph charts still appear to reference ILS Y/Z or LOC Y/Z RWY 02.

Could you please check whether there is an issue with the procedure coding for LFKJ in AIRAC 2608?

Hi,
These approaches can’t be coded because the missed approach begins before the runway threshold and does not follow the runway heading. This is a standard ARINC425 rule in the version that we use. So, not missing.

We have written our own FAQ for this.

The charts show “ILS or LOC”. That means you can see the glideslope signal when the frequency is set, but due to the above, you can only select these approaches as LOC only.
