iOS/iPadOS v8.38.1 Issues with route and map layers

on my ipad the path is back  :ok_hand:

With the test version?

We expect things to be unstable (sometimes working, sometimes not) in the version that is currently on the app store.

the testflight version shows the path again, i do not have any path with the app store version for many days (maybe since the ios update?)

Good, thank you for the confirmation!

No, the version in the app store was released with a bug that we had not encountered ourselves yet. The TestFlight version is an interim solution while we work on the next app store update which will include the same fix!

Apparently you need to send me an email to ‘invite’ me with a redeem code…

Hmm, that does not sound right. This is a public beta, and I can see that 3 others have already enrolled and installed the new version.

Feel free to share a screenshot of what you are seeing!

The iOS version of Beta Test… no byttons, no settings…

nuthin’…

You need to open the link in my post, which should enroll you in our test program. You likely are best off opening that link on the iPad that you are taking a photo of!

Make sure that you are signed in with the same apple ID everywhere too.

Alternatively, you may try the last part of the URL as an “invitation code”. I am not sure if it is the same thing, but we don’t have anything else

thx… that worked . I’ll wring it out.

Thanks! I have iOS 18.3.1 and after switching the Vatsim air traffic on and off twice, my flight route is displayed  -) a3g & good headings.

Thanks for all your hard work with Apple! My temp fix is bringing your app on my second computer screen. I will wait until the next app update cycle. I like to dedicate my IPAD to your app while flying but I can wait.

When trying the Android link, nothing happens?

My bad, the link should be fixed now! We are aiming to release an updated version to the app store before next week.

Got it.

Then I’ll stick with the Web version for now rather than messing around with APK files :+1:

Hello @here!

We have now pushed updates to iOS and Android apps; they should be available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Please try this update and let us know if you have any further issues! The update contains further improvements over the beta provided here earlier, so it is recommended that you install the latest version instead.

Thank you for being patient with us while we worked on this fix!

Kind Regards,
Malte

Looks like the problem has been fixed also on Android. Doing my second flight right now and haven’t seen the issue :+1:

One other thing I noticed though is how the symbol indicating my aircraft on the map isn’t positioned accurately on the route. I saw the same thing when the aircraft was parked in Dublin. Using the web version of Charts, the symbol is correctly positioned. Below are two screenshots showing this, first one from the Android app and the second one using the web version of Charts.

What simulator are you using in this case?

It sounds like it could be similar to this topic. Waiting for confirmation from the OP!

If it’s unrelated, it’d be great if you could create a dedicated topic!
