INOP after importing from SimBrief

We shall use your suggestion for potential enhancements and new functionality. So, please be as detailed as you can.

Only one issue per thread so that others can easily see what has been reported.
I changed computers

Problem in SIMEBRIEF in a flight plan open in the graphics the page opens and then is replaced by the INOP response message,

similarly to open NVIGRAPH CARTE on the desktop the page opens and is replaced by INOP

I don’t understand before on the other computer it worked

My username odet.jeanclaude my username Samedijc

Is there anything you can do to fix this problem?

THANK YOU

I don’t speak English and I can’t get by on the forum

Hello! Thanks for posting.

Unfortunately, I can’t quite make sense of your post. Could you provide a screen recording of the issue?

Kind Regards,
Malte

here are two screenshots
one represents the simbrief page with the flight plan, and the second when I click open in the graphics the page opens and immediately disappears replaced by this message INOP, it seems to me that between simbrief and navugraph there is a problem, or it's me who forgets to do something when downloading navigraph updates
see if you can fix this
Greeting

Hmm, I see.

If I understand you correctly, you are getting the INOP message after pressing this button in SimBrief:

SimBrief - Flight Briefing 12-05@2x

Is that correct? And are you still having this issue?

I am not able to reproduce this issue, but I have enabled detailed logging on your account. Let me know if the issue comes up again and I will investigate further!

Kind Regards,
Malte

hello
i have make a simbrief flight plan but import into charts does not match - he says me “inop” i don’t understand why ? i never had this before…
can you help me ?
thanks
Bernard

Hello @bernard68 ! Welcome to the forum.

I moved your post here since it is a duplicate of what’s already described in this topic.
Are you using the desktop or web app (charts.navigraph.com)?

Kind Regards,
Malte

hello
sincerly i don’t now - when i make a flightplan and generate it then normally i can import it into charts - this fonction not woks it says me “inop”
have a nice day

I understand that, but how do you import it into the Charts app in the first place? Do you use the import feature within Charts, or do you press this button?

Kind Regards,
Malte

hello
yes i press this button

Then you are using the web version of Navigraph charts. I have added additional loggIng to your account, could you try to reproduce the issue now?

Kind Regards,
Malte

i have try but it do not work ???

Thanks for trying! I did not mean that it was supposed to work now, I added logging to your account to see what might be going wrong. I asked you to reproduce the issue, and you have successfully done so!

I can see an error in our logs. We shall investigate the issue, but I can already tell you that I cannot reproduce this issue myself when importing that same SimBrief route (LFMN - ENAL). Thanks for the report though, I’ll get back to you as soon as I have an update!

In the meantime, could you try importing the flight from within Charts instead? You can do so from this menu by selecting “Import from SimBrief”:

Kind Regards,

yes of course and thanks for your work sincerly

Did the alternative solution of importing the flight from within charts work better?

hello
that works but it is not the normal working - in simbrief i cannot see the charts by pressing the button “import into charts” i have the msg INOP…

Yes, as mentioned this is a workaround in the meantime. Importing the flight through the button in SimBrief and importing it through the import menu inside Navigraph Charts have the same result!

We’ll investigate the issue still, but it is really hard to reproduce and will probably take a while.

Kind Regards,
Malte

ok i understand and will wait - thanks

hello
i have try again this morning and the import charts fonction in simbrief works normally again - i don’t understand how - i have not make anything else special …
have a nice day
sincerely
Bernard

It is a bit random, so it is not reproducible and thus very hard for us to track down. It could be tied to computer performance, available memory, time or just about anything, unfortunately.

We’ll keep this topic open and track this issue internally, if we manage to find the source at some point - I’ll let you know!

Kind Regards,
Malte
