Incorrect ground speed and missing other values in telemetry

NO, I made Simlink not automatically started when I start the computer ; I start NaV Charts manualy

The strange thing is : when I just reload and reinstall the soft, it works well, and I can shutdonwn it and restart, providing I remain in the same Windows session

But if I shutdown the computer (for the night for example) , and try to restart after swichting ON the computer, I get a strange message, like if something is missing, saying that the soft NAV+C is not running ; the message comes only when I try to click on the pink arrow to try to connect whith the current flight

This is the first time I encounter such a phenomena ; and I do not understand ; and also I am not a specialist in computer driving, which is blocking me at that stage

If you have some idea…

Daniel, please re-install your complete system (incl. OS). I know this is a hug effort but I´m pretty sure, you have anything completely re-configured. As I have written before, it´s not a stability issue from our software, independent which app you use - it´s something on your system.

It´s not possible for us, to check your the whole system - you have done this, have re-installed this, has deleted this folder, … Sorry, but I´m lost - I have lost the current state. Therefore please re-install all (or let re-install all, when you´re not able to do this by your own). It´s the fastest and best way to get your system up and running.

Thank you very much,
Richard

But (still assuming there is a SimLink app under Windows like there is under macOS), and it’s not set to start automatically with your computer, then you would need to start it manually (the Simlink app, not Navigraph Charts) else it won’t work?

Regards,

Tim

And to add to Tim’s suggestion, why not try setting Simlink to start automatically on start of computer.

Cheers
Ian

thanks, I will try, providing that will not wipe off all my data

I already try ; but no change at all

I will make it, but later, because I presently work on other tansactions

Summary of the situation today:

according to the recent suggestion, I reloaded the Win 10 OS, saving the programs and data of my system. I then deleted all programs and data relating to Navigraph, both in Windows and in X-plane

I then proceeded to reload Nav+Simlink, latest version.

it worked well, and I even turned off the X-Plane and Nav Charts software a few times, recalling them to check: everything works

I then turned off the computer, and restarted the programs: I got everything as before, namely that I have two contradictory messages: one telling me that I am not connected, the other that I am well connected

the obvious is that I lose something by turning off the computer, but I don’t know what, and what’s more, the software orders me to reconnect, without giving me the recipe to do so

It is certain that reloading Win10 did not change the situation.

Where is the command to re-enable NAV+charts?

Why did you design software that does not launch automatically when the corresponding screen is called up, as is usual for all other programs in Windows?

Since the beginning of this affair, we have not advanced an inch, except locating the contact in XP11 or 12: we load, it works, we turn off the computer and restart it, it no longer works

No need to provide images of successive screens, they are the same as in my previous messages

( Why make it simple when you can make it complicated )

an image showing that the software is connected since it offers me the option to disconnect if necessary

Thank you for your ideas

I also noticed in the sceen above, that it says Nav+Simling connected to UNKNOWN (inconnu in french) ; any relation to the problem ?

complement : I also clean the registry between all renewal to be sure from that side

Daniel, please stop blaming us when it´s very clear that the issue on your side. You´re the only one - really the only one which needs 50 postings for nothing because no one can follow your steps and no one knows your current state, your state of your system.

Sorry to say, but in this case, it is impossible to help you. Also sorry to say, my personal feeling is, that you don´t really know what you´re do but you do it and makes the things not better.

Please look for a help in your area, possible any PC dealer, which helps you to complete initialize your system first. Initializing means really - set it to ZERO, don´t restore any data from somewhere. Install all from the scratch. As I have written, it´s a lot of work I know, but in this case this is the only way to start with a clean, working system. Don´t do it by yourself … let you help from some professional here.

When your system is clean than you can start, step by step install the applications. Testing, when ok, next application, … and so on, till you´re finish or you find your culprit somewhere. But the software is not complicated, nor so technical that you need to be a professional but it expects (as all other software) a working and correct system below and thats not the case here. Sorry.

So, again please go to your PC dealer of your choice and let someone help you. Here in the forum, with the many question marks, the if-when-if questions its not possible. Sorry again but as you also wrote, we haven´t made any real progress here …

Cheers,
Richard

You are certainly right; only here: I am not ready to sacrifice ALL my Windows, because I have a large number of different programs apart from X-Plane, and for some I no longer even have the installation software.
I just regret having updated Nav+charts, because I didn’t have this phenomenon with the old version, which worked for several years
Originally, there were other contributors who had experienced the same problems as me with speed and other data: I didn’t know if their problem had been solved or how; miraculously, the new version gave the correct information; so pretending that everything is perfect without your software is a bit quick.

For the moment, I abandon its use, which is after all only a navigation aid, but which does not correspond to anything in real piloting

And then he will re-install Charts and Simlink in the exact same way, and end up with the same issue, most likely.

That does seem to be the key here. After you reboot your computer, check that Navigraph Simlink is running (Simlink, not the Charts app), for example in Task Manager:

If it is not running, you can start it manually (preferably before you start X-Plane):

For it to start automatically when you start Windows:
