Just bought a version of a new Airport in Western Sydney, (YSWS), but is not recognized by Sim Brief for flight planning. Can it be rectified, or updated?
Hi,
YSWS is still under construction. This airport will be opened by the end of 2026 at the earliest, so it does not exist in real life at the moment. As soon as it is available via AIP Australia, it will be included in the AIRAC cycles and charts.
Without any data, we can´t add it …
Hope that helps
Richard
Can you tell me what airfield code I should use in SimBrief for Fishburn Airfield in Co.Durham, UK? EGFI in MSFS isn’t recognised, nor is GB-0002 as shown in Volanta. It’s not recognised as an airfield in Navigraph Charts map.
Location is 54°41’14.3"N 001°27’41.8"W- Can I use this data as the departing airport instead of a code?
Hi,
I can´t find any ICAO information about this airport, not in the IFR or VFR AIP. GB-0002 is not a valid airport ICAO code, and I haven´t found anything for EGFI—it’s possible that’s a fictitious code for this airport, but not an official one. Therefore, this airport is missing in all our datasets. Sorry.
Cheers,
Richard
Thanks - is there a workaround to use for airstrips/airfields that aren’t listed, such as GPS location or lat/lon? I’ve in the end used an airport about 30km away as the departure, and the missing airfield as the first waypoint, then once imported, change the departure to the EGFI code in the Garmin that MSFS recognises.
