I have the correct cost index as well

All fuel matches simbrief this started last week

Hi…,

I have moved your post here as it has nothing to do with the topic you posted in.

So we can assist, please post Information requested when posting an issue

Cheers

Ian

flying a short flight kjfk to kbos fenix a320 midflight i get messag on ecam fuel low, i have the latest Airac in simbrief, this started two weeks ago prior to that, fuel was good. i checked the MCDU and EFB the fuel matches to simbrief. I have tried many different flights and this keeps happening. i even have extra reserve in simbrief. although MCDu, EFB matches simbrief, not sure why running out of fuel mid flight.

Here are a few things to check, roughly in order of likelihood

  1. Units of measurement. Your SimBrief is set to LBS. Open the Fenix EFB and make sure the fuel unit toggle and double check the MCDU also. If one side is reading LBS and the other is reading KG, the difference could be 2.2x. When you load fuel, crosscheck the ECAM and make sure those figures are sane.
  2. Fuel Loading. Make sure you load the aircraft via the Fenix EFB and not via MSFS Weight & Balance system. It can corrupt the Fenix EFB fuel management system.
  3. Time Acceleration. If you use this during cruise, fuel burn can go out the window and become inaccurate. Try a flight at the normal time rate and see if this makes any difference.

You also mentioned that something changed from two weeks ago. Have you made any updates? Changed any settings on SimBrief or anything like that?

All of this will help us nail down the cause.

Thanks.

i did not make any update, every flight i have been flying mid flight i get fuel left and right low and then i crash, EFB and simbrief are set in pounds, no change, i have the correct zfw, block fuel, etc per simbrief on mcdu, they match, my flight is from JFK to KBOS via merit, the MCDU fuel i had block fuel 8.6, zfw 119.5, and 26.8 for zfwcg, they all match

the only change was a while ago to Airac which matches the MCDU till August

How are you loading the block fuel, though?

Are you actually loading the fuel into the aircrafts tanks using the Fenix EFB? If you are following this workflow, all your figures are correct and you are loading the aircraft, this could point to a Fenix issue rather than a SimBrief issue.

maybe you are right, i tried it both ways, manually entering the fuel block, etc and also through Fenix EFB as well, both gave me this low fuel

At that point, I would recommend reaching out to Fenix about this.

Unfortunately, SimBrief is not at fault with the figures.
