I assume the many Navagraph users display the charts and the moving map by using the downloaded app on their PC. The feature selection “follow ownship” tells the moving map to keep the icon of their aircraft in the middle of the display. When it comes to those of us that use an iPad to display the charts and moving map, trying to use the “follow ownship” feature gets frustrating. Every touch on the iPad, where it is a zoom in/out selection, just touching the map, or an aircraft ID attempt, turns the “follow ownship” selection off. Is there anyway, or a software improvement that can keep this feature turned on unless I intentionally turn it off?
I think that once “follow ownship” is turned on, it should only suspend for a user determined amount of time when it is necessary. Then it would reactivate.
