Is there any way to make the lines somewhat thinner (instead of the thick spaghetti lines) ?

No, this is not an available setting at the moment. The lines were thinner when the app was first released, but the thickness was increased due to popular demand.
Feel free to open a topic in the Wishlist if you want to put this up for a vote!
