So I just re subscribed tonight trying to get some better charts in MSFS 2024, currently on the SU2 version, which I guess everyone would be on… while doing some career missions. I was able to get the in game panel working for the most part and also the Sim Brief and create a flight plan that matched the career mode. I found it odd non of the maps I was actually wanting to use showed up in the panels (FAA maps). The airport charts showed up in the ingame navigation display, but I couldn’t get any FAA, VFR, IFR or sectional charts to show up in the EFB the only ones that seemed to work were the World and Satellite maps. The default map just had the flight plan with a blank off white olive background. I have to admit Im a novice here, but they do show up in the desktop app. Did I miss a download maybe? At the time of testing I did not have the SimLink installed and only realized when the ingame EFB mentioned it when clicking the moving map icon. Thank you
Hello! Welcome to our forum and thank you for the feedback.
Would you say that your issue seems similar to this topic?
Kind Regards,
Malte
I think so, though I dont think I kept it on one of those working maps he shows long enough to notice it go blank. I just know the ones I want to use dont work
I might add that the Navigraph in game panel wasn’t available for me in career mode, but I’ll try it again today maybe I need that SimLink and a restart of MSFS for it to show.
The panel is not available in career mode (or any mission) - that is an intentional limitation by Asobo that we can’t do anything about unfortunately.
Could you show a screenshot of what you mean by the map ”not working”?
Well actually the FAA and VFR Maps are working now, I did install the sim link today though . I’m in a career mission and the maps are showing in the EFB while in career. The in panel MFD of the PC24 doesn’t show any charts though, which is ok for now
Cool! Happy to hear that it works!
If you have the same issue as the topic linked above, you would likely only notice the map going blank after approximately 1 hour of use without interacting with it. Simlink does not affect the situation.
As for the PC24 MFD - not sure what you mean here. We don’t have an official integration for this aircraft, so perhaps there simply is no such feature? Or is this an addon aircraft that comes with a Navigraph integration?
lol, yes I was just reporting that the maps just cleared / going blank
Well its a default PC24 that came with 2024, Microsoft/Cerenado.
Anyway to get the maps back without the Navigraph tool bar icon in Career mode? Maybe restart the EFB or something?
Thanks so much for your help, atleast I know its a known issue. That helps.
Seems changing the scale in settings for navigraph charts app in the settings makes them come back. It defaulted to 2 so went back to normal and they are back
Does it still work? Switching the scale will trigger a reload of the map. It would not surprise me if it stopped working again after 1 hour.
Ya it was an off and on scenario though. Would go blank and then then next job it would work again. the 2x zoom toggle did seem to help though most times. I ended up using the default map more as I wasnt finding alot of the small dirt and grass fields from MSFS 2024 in Navigraph. I still like the VFR and FAA Sectionals to help really get an idea where Im at especially in places close to where I live.
That is unfortunate. We’d love to track this down and fix whatever is causing it!
As mentioned in the linked topic, we have not changed anything, so this must somehow be related to a simulator update. We’ll attempt to investigate.
For now though, I am 100% sure you have the same issue as the other topic. To keep the forum clean and not have too many loose ends, I will close this in favor of the existing one!
If you have more information not yet mentioned in that topic, please add your input! It would be much appreciated. Regardless, thank you for the feedback! We hope to be able to address this.
Kind Regards,
Malte
