Hi there
Since trying to use the (MSFS2024) EFB Navigraph Charts app, the map goes blank after about 10 minutes, and no matter what i do, I cant get it to refresh. Zooming in / out etc doesn’t force any kind of refresh. The only map I can get to display while the others will not, is the satellite overlay.
I did try to log out, and then log in again. This did bring the maps back, but the UI wigged out completely. none of the menus registered mouse clicks etc etc.
The only way I was able to resolve it, was by undocking the EFB, then logging out and in again. When the maps were displaying again, then I went back to docked mode, and it was fine after that.
Edit* It does keep reoccurring after random amounts of time.
Hello! Welcome to our forum!
Hmm, this is interesting. I have tried to reproduce this issue for an hour, without any success. Has this always been the case for you or did it start recently?
This could prove to be hard to debug. You’ll need to use the Coherent debugger to gather information about ongoing networks requests. Are you comfortable with this?
If you’re not, and this is still happening for you, we’ll try to arrange a remote support session where we can take a closer look at what is happening on your PC.
Kind Regards,
Malte
Hi Malte
I’ve only been using Navigraph for a month, but yes…. It has been a problem since I started using it. Normally I just use the desktop app, but lately I’ve been wanting to use the tools in the cockpit.
I noticed the day after my OP, there was an update for the EFB on the hub, which I installed. The next flight I did seemed problem free. However, I did do one thing different during that flight…… I left the follow ownship activated the whole time.
I’ll take a couple more days to try and narrow down more specifics, and report back. Then we can talk about debugging.
Thanks
JB

I’m happy to hear that it seems to working as intended! The update should definitely not have affected this, but the important thing is that it works for now.
Sounds like a good plan. Let me know once you have tried it out a bit more!
I have the same problem. I’ve definitely always had this problem since the Navigraph has been available in the EFB. It does sometimes sort itself out but I can never remember what I did that solves it within the same flight session. You may be able to replicate by leaving the map displayed for a flight for about an hour and then try to zoom in or out. Zooming for me is what causes it to go partially or completely blank except for the route.
Thanks for confirming the same problem.
I have however found something that will sort it out quicker than my previous method… @skysail
And that is… When it happens, just close the EFB, and open the Navigraph in game panel from the drop down thingy. Allow it to boot and load, then close it. Re-open the EFB, do a zoom in or out, and it will resolve the blank map issue.
The other interesting thing is that the problem is also seen on a 3rd party aircrafts EFB… Namely the Navigraph Maps App on the LiveToAir CJ3.
It does the same thing as I posted in the OP, and is resolved the same way with opening then closing the in game Navigraph panel.
Why it happens though… is way above my pay grade.
This is exactly the description for what happens for me too. +1
This has happened to me during the SU2 Beta and now also in the SU3 Beta. I stayed on the beta but briefly tried the SU2 Public release and it also occurred there. I just did a flight in a C-17 which has a long pre-flight and it worked until I took off and flew for about 15-30 minutes. I was probably in the sim an hour though between pre-flight and takeoff. The map quit refreshing and would not work. I ended up switching to the charts panel which worked fine but the EFB quits refreshing after awhile. I am using SU3 Beta currently and the issue as described is the same.
Thank you for the additional feedback, everyone! It seems like you have very similar symptoms, which is good. The behavior seems to indicate that there have been changes in cookie behavior in a recent simulator update. To be clear: we have not changed anything.
We shall look into this as soon as we have the resources. Apologies for the inconvenience!
