The EXTRA FPL INFO (item 18) section of the airframe does not seem to be being inserted into the flight plan when filing to vatsim.
Hi, any extra FPL info needs to be prefixed by the appropriate field 18 indicator.
In other words, instead of entering SOME REMARK, you should enter RMK/SOME REMARK. Valid indicators are as follows:
While SimBrief will technically allow you to enter any indicator, not just those in this list, VATSIM prefile will only recognize these ones.

Thank you! A follow up - is there a way to put a / between remarks? I enter “RMK/ CALLSIGN SUPERNOVA” and that worked as expected, but when I tried "RMK/ CALLSIGN SUPERNOVA / TCAS , it did not.
Hi, a slash is a reserved character in the FPL string (in the real-world). SimBrief does allow them if you force it, but they might not get imported properly by other software (such as VATSIM prefile).
You might be able to get away with other characters instead, such as a comma or period. Maybe a few others.
