Charts iOS auto reconnect after sim start

Charts iOS has to be manually closed and restarted in order to connect to a new sim session. Similar to the Charts Mac wishlist item, expand scope to iOS as well.

If iOS Charts remains in the foreground on the device, then it would poll regularly. If it is brought to the foreground then it would re-initiate polling.

Manually restarting the app is avoidable, other charts apps have this capability. Thanks for consideration.

Following up, as it’s really getting old having to manually close down iOS Charts and restart the application every time I start the sim. Migrating from Foreflight to Charts is a cost driven decision, but this one nuisance is nonetheless causing me to reconsider. Can you give me any indication if this issue is being considered for rectification?
