Hi,
Is it the same regardless if moving maps is enabled or not?
Also stuttering when you are not interacting with the app?

Nothing to do with interacting with the app, its just been open, the stutters happen with moving maps selected with a loaded simbrief flight plan,
I can confirn my own generated flight plan was ok with moving maps selected, not a stutter in sight.
That is very odd, as the SimBrief-loaded flight is really no different technically from a manually created flight.
But you mean that stutters only occur when moving maps is enabled, and no stutters when moving maps is disabled?
Could you please also again compare this behavior with the old panel. With the same flight, and also there with moving maps turned on and off.
Kind regards,
Stephen
Version 1.3 is perfect in every sense regardless of moving maps, simbrief flight plans or anything, im just unable to get stutters.
After a good test of a few scenarios tonight things are a little confusing now, it appeared moving maps and simbrief last night produced stutters (uuee) but tonight i started with a simbrief flight plan at (egnt) and zero stutters so loaded up a simbrief plan from yesterday (uuee) whilst at (egnt) and the plan with moving maps produced the stutrers once more, deleted the plan amd zero issues, stutters gone with moving maps on and off.
Moved to (uuee) and stutters with yesterdays simbrief plan once again whilst using moving maps, deleted the plan and zero issues.
Moved to (uwww) a simbrief plan caused stutters with moving maps so deleted the plan and a ok, zero issues so made a plan in the app whilst flying to the destination (uscc) and zero stutters with moving maps until i was on the way to the gate after landing when minor stuttering occurred, deleted the plan and zero issues.
The only conclusive fact is moving maps and follow me without any flight plans produce zero issues.
I hope this helps, i know some scenarios dont make sense but it is what it is.
This reminds me of an issue many years back when it was SimLink causing these somewhat random stutters and where the actual problem was SimConnect being flooded. As I recall it. Which I also seem to remember was dependent on what other heavy SimConnect add-ons you were using at the same time.
I wonder if this could be something similar?
Orā¦based on how it seems to be whenever a flight plan is loaded, a SimBrief connection/integration issue of some sort? I think I saw a message the other day about some form of SimBrief update, maybe related?
For now, Iāve worked around the issue by only having the Navigraph window open when Iām actually using it.
I too have the app open all the time.
Ive just tested a clean community folder apart from navigraph addons.
The exact same, simbrief with moving maps/follow me caused stutters.
Simbrief plan deleted = zero stutters.
Just want to clarify, I donāt have the Navigraph window open all the time. Rather, I only have it visible when I actually need to look at something on the map.
This to avoid the stuttering issue until it has been resolved.
Hi,
Please paste your flight here (the one imported from Simbrief). Go to Export flight plan, the Copy to clipboard, and paste here.

any flight plan gives the stutters with moving maps but this was the one when i first noticed the problem and have used for the majority of my tests using live weather.
And loading this flight plan in the old panel causes no stutters with moving maps enabled?
Stephen
Yes thats correct, the old version is perfect in every sense.
One thing I would like to suggest is to have the follow-me mode automatically disabled when you click on your departure or arrival at the top of the screen. Same thing when clicking on the airport diagram.
The way it is now, clicking any of these will zoom in nicely on the map but split second later, the map moves back to your aircraft.
Other than that and now when Iām getting used to the new UI, youāve done an excellent job as always! Itās a real pleasure using your software! Then of course, we all hope youāll be able to figure out what is causing the stuttering issue as well.
Did you see my comment on the SimConnect thing I remember was an issue in the past? That would also explain why this issue can differ a bit from one user to the next and from one aircraft, airport etcā¦if it all depends on how loaded the SimConnect connection is.
I saw it but the thing is that the old and new panel use the exact same mechanism to fetch coordinates, and that is from Navigraph servers in precisely the same way. The only app interacting with Simconnect is Simlink (which posts to our servers), and that app is shared between the old and new panel, and also external charts apps like your iPad or desktop app. So, it is unlikely linked to Simconnect if it only affects the new panel.
We still have not been able to reproduce this on our end. If you get more clues on which scenarios that cause stutters and which do not, please update in this thread.

Stephen
Got it, will do.
Really odd how I see this on every flight regardless of route and airports Iām flying between while youāre not able to see it once.
Really tricky these kind of issues.
Is there any way to enable some form of debugging which could reveal some hints?
What you can do is to show the built-in FPS monitor. See instructions here if needed on how to enable it.
Then monitor it. The Panel is a part of the CoherentGTDraw section of the FPS monitor.
Paste a screenshot of your full simulator window including the panel open, and the FPS monitor visible, while you are experiencing stuttering. It might give us some hints.
Not sure how/if this will work in VR?
Iām doing all my flying in VR in a pair of Varjo Aero. So Iām not even sure if this issue is also present in pancake mode.
Could you try it in pancake mode just to verify if the issue is there too or not?
Stephen
Iāll see what I can find but without even testing, Iād say it will probably be hard due to the fact the stuttering Iāve seen in VR is very subtle. I guess the reason you see it inside VR is just because of that, how you are āinsideā the complete scene. When in pancake, you wonāt āfeelā the stutter in the same way when just watching a screen in front of you.
Also as for the screenshot of the FPS monitor, for a screenshot to provide anything useful, I suppose you need to manage grabbing that screenshot the very split second when the stutter occur. Given how the stutter only lasts for a split second, that also will be quite a challenge.
If I can provide anything I think could be useful, Iāll share it with you. This of course also is the same for the others in here who have reported seeing this stuttering issue. Such as @nomancs69
Not really, the graph provides a history of the last few seconds so it could still provide some clues given that the stuttering was noticeable in that timeframe.
Also please show how the graph looks when running the old panel, i.e. when there is no stuttering issue.
Stephen
Just took off from LESO using the MK-STUDIOS payware scenery for that airport and tonight, I didnāt see any stuttering. Not even in VR mode. So Iām not sure if this could be related to what airport youāre using.
If/when I see the stuttering next time, Iāll do some testing as suggested if I find the time for it.
