Another month, another terrible user experience updating navdata in the Hub

This is a follow-up to this post:

I just got done updating my navdata for this cycle and it continues to be an extremely painful experience. Multiple add-ons flash from update to installing to install, multiple add-ons flicker to remove and back to install when you click install. It takes forever. An absolutely terrible user experience for a desktop application in 2025.

I hate to pour out negativity here, but the only response the prior thread got from a developer was specific to the TFDi MD-11 navdata when that was only a small portion of my original post. My post was in its entirety about the terrible user experience that is Navigraph Hub and the need to overhaul it, not just about updating navdata for that one specific add-on.

Again, I feel self-conscious writing such a Karen-y post here, but using this application is undeniably the most frustrating part of the hobby for me month in, month out, and I find it really shocking that for such a core application for the community that the app has seen no meaningful improvement in years.

As mentioned at Navigraph Hub - "Update All" button - #10 by Ian,
“Update All” is planned for a future update of Navigraph Hub, as well as addressing the issues you have mentioned.

That said, the current Hub version is able to update all its included packages, and shouldn’t be so difficult. I also have many packages, and updated them yesterday by patiently single clicking on the Update button for each. For single clicks on multiple packages, the updates occur in parallel with differing times to complete depending on size.

Thank you for your patience. A new Hub is definitely on the roadmap.

I responded in your original thread to be able to address some of your feedback in context.
Regarding the behavior you are describing with updates going back to “update” from installed state there is additional logging on your account and that issue will be investigated separately.
