It seems every time I zoom in or out, the aircraft is not centered. I have to re center it manually using the Aircraft icon on the left. Can this be changed so that the aircraft remains centered after zooming IN or OUT. If I recall correctly, I may be wrong but that seems to be the way it used to work.
In the Moving Maps function of the Charts app, do you have “follow Ownship” enabled?
Thanks for reply. Yes, I have AUTO START & AUTO FOLLOW enabled. ANCHOR POINT is set to “Tip”.
This behavior is intended, zooming out will uncenter the ownship following.
There is a wishlist post that requests this functionality. It would be a good idea to vote on this
I have the same problem. Even with “Follow ownship” the aircraft is not centered with every zoom in/out on an iPad. I think it is a little bit better if I untick “Auto Follow” in the Charts settings. Maybe there could be a setting that I can move the card free for e.g. 5 seconds to look for something and then it snap back to centered mode.
I would recommend creating a thread on the Wishlist. We regularly look through this and, a lot of the time, use the feedback for product improvements.
