One issue I’ve noticed is how sometimes, I’m no longer able to zoom in/out using the scroll wheel on my mouse. Also, I’m not able to drag the map in different directions by holding the left mouse button. When I try, I see how a rectangle appears like in painting applications. Where you can drag a rectangle around an object for example.
This is in VR using the in-game panel version of Navigraph Charts. Haven’t tried yet if the issue also is present in 2D mode.
Not in front of the PC right now and looking at the post you linked to with release notes, I didn’t see anything what I’m required to do to make sure I’m on the latest version.
What I do on a pretty much daily basis though is to run your tool where you update AIRAC data etc. Where I always install any updates available.
I’ve now done what you suggested, reinstalling the In-Game Panel via the Navigraph Hub but sorry to say it didn’t completely fix the issue. I say completely because I seemed to be OK at first but then later during the flight, the issue resurfaced.
I’ve tried to figure out how to repro the issue but still not sure what triggers it. First I thought of GSX but later realized that’s not the culprit. Was first thinking if GSX in some way was interfering but doesn’t seem to be the case.
Always hard with these kinds of issues that are intermittent but will keep testing and see if I can figure out what is actually causing it and why it’s working sometimes and sometimes not.
Seen it several times now but still haven’t been able to figure out what is causing it or how to repro the issue with certainty.
I hope you will be able to assist since it’s a real pain when you desperately need to look at the map when you’re in VR at a busy airport online on Vatsim where you’re expected to know where you’re going without delay and then the map start acting up on you like this.
I’m only using MSFS 2024 these days, don’t even have MSFS 2020 installed anymore.
As for updates, I apply every new update I see via Navigraph Hub. Not sure what else I could try and also puzzled if I’m the only one seeing this issue. Nothing special about my setup. I only have one 3rd party aircraft, the iFly 737 MAX8 and a number of payware airports. Other addons I use include:
AutoFPS
GSX Pro
vPilot
FSUIPC7
Moza Cockpit
Universal Announcer
Weird but will keep trying to figure out exactly when this happens and try connect the dots. Since I don’t see it all the time. Today for instance when I did a flight between LPPT-LEMH, it was working just fine.
Really odd but for now, let’s forget about this and instead get ready to celebrate 2026!
Charts updates are applied over-the-air. No Hub updates. There have been two major updates to the app in the last month, so those are ”possible culprits”.
Simulator updates are also applied over the air nowadays, and they may just as well cause new issues at any time.
The reason why I asked if you are seeing the same issue in 2020 is that this version do not receive the same simulator updates. If it works without issues in 2020 but is broken in 2024, then the issue is likely to be simulator-side. If it is broken in both, it is more likely that the issue is in the Charts app! Have you uninstalled 2020?
Thank you! Happy New Year from the team to you as well!
Ah, got it and yes, MSFS 2020 is no longer installed.
Well, let’s see what will happen going forward then with updates both from you guys as well as from Asobo/MS. Sometimes, these kinds of odd issues have a tendency to clear out by themself
