Xplane 11 steam version

Hi Everyone, I’m trying to update my fmc, as I’m having issues with importing SimBrief flight plans.

The status on the fmc is showing out of date data (Screenshot will follow).

As I think this maybe the issue ?

I’ve tried several YouTube videos and Google searches, hoping to resolve this problem,

However to no avail.

Also there’s no settings button that I can find, to enter my “SimBrief Pilot ID” as advised by my Google search.

In the latest FMS Data Manager Settings, check

Make sure your X-Plane 11 path is where your X-Plane.exe is located. Navigate to this path using the black folder. Press Save.

In Addon Mappings, Remove any X-Plane 11 and X-Plane 11 Addons. Press Save.
Press Scan. X-Plane 11 and any X-Plane 11 addons should be detected. Press Save.

In Addon List, select X-Plane 11 and any X-Plane 11 addons and Update.

In the aircraft FMS Ident page, you should see the latest AIRAC details:

To load a SimBrief flight plan, depending on the aircraft, the procedure will be something like:

  1. In SimBrief, generate flight.

  2. Download using X-Plane 11/12 .fms format, note flight plan name e.g. YMMLYSSY

  3. Save to X-Plane 11\Output\FMS plans\.

  4. In the aircraft FMC, choose FPLN, then enter YMMLYSSY into CO ROUTE

  5. Flight plan should be loaded:

Hi Ian,
Thanks so much for your
Message, unfortunately
I’m not very IT savvy
Would you mind explaining
How to navigate to this

BLACK FILE, that you mentioned.
Remembering that it’s a
Steam version. ie
Steam or Xplane or whatever?
Thank you in advance
This has been driving me
Crazy.
Kind regards
Chris Poulton.

Hi Chris,

When you click on the black folder highlighted in red, you will open a box that says Please select a location for your flight simulator.

You then navigate to the location of your X-Plane.exe file.

For Steam this might be:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\X-Plane 11\X-Plane.exe

Cheers

Ian
