X-Plane 12 FMS Data Manager issue

Ive just tried to update data via Data manager for XPlane 12 this morning 26th December.

Not updating, updater spins and reverts back.

Used Navigraph Data over the tears, for reason now it will not update latest Airac.

Now having to do manual downloads

Hi Chris,

Welcome.

This is likely related to X-Plane 12 mapping in the FMS Data Manager.

From Settings tab using Guide to posting Screenshots, please show screenshot, something like:

Ian thanks for your response, the mapping I have always had remains the same.

This is the first month that I get the spining cog for about 5 seconds then it goes off.

Hi Chris,
Could you please show us the “Addon List” tab so we can see which cycle you have currently installed?

Furthermore, could you please try downloading it again and then upload the latest logs? You find the log files here (copy & paste the following string into the file explorer):
%programdata%\Navigraph\FMSClient\logs

Chris,
First of all, Happy New Year! I hope you have a great evening.

The main issue is the two XP12 entries. I would suggest the following:

  • Close the FMS Data Manager
  • Open %programdata%\Navigraph\FMSClient and delete the setting & mapping file
  • Start the FMS Data Manager and let the FMS Data Manager scan your system
  • When it’s done, you should see one XP12 entry
  • Go to addons and add your additional XP12 entries as (and that is important) USER entries

After that, save the state and try the updates again. The logs clearly indicate that you have set an incorrect XP12 default (root/main) path, and we don’t support multiple XP12 installations.

Adding such entries manually is a workaround, but they must be classified as USER, not XP12.
