Try to put it in a smaller window in the middle of your main screen for example. Does it still not save?
The app has some logic that resets the window position if Windows reports that it is off-screen.

I can confirm that nothing has been changed in this regard, the responsible code and anything affecting it remained untouched for the last update. It could be related to a Windows update, though…

If it is not saving your position at all regardless of window position, we probably need to investigate rewriting this feature completely…

For some additional information, please follow these steps:

Locate window-state.json

  1. Press Win + R
  2. Type %appdata%\Navigraph Charts and press enter
  3. Locate window-state.json in the explorer window that opens

Debugging

Now, please follow these steps to try to get a grip of the situation:

  1. Open Charts and place it where you want it
  2. Close it down
  3. Copy the window-state.json file and upload it to your next forum post
  4. Open Charts again - its position should reset again, please confirm that this is the case.
  5. Close Charts again and upload the window-state.json file once again to your next post.

In the end, you should have two window-state.json files uploaded!
