New to navigraph. The first thing i do is to sit down and play with the system. It is very complex so i want to try to get an existing PLN flightplan into simbrief to transfer it to G1000… But that is not possible. After many attempts and back and forths and discussions with Olaf on the discord i realize it is not possible.
Like this. I sit on the airport with an imported flightplan that i have in my navigraph. I can import and make flightplans in Navigraph but i cant transfer them to G1000, because i need the simbrief flightplan as an “in between”. G1000 imports from Simbrief it seems like. And simbrief only. (Correct me if that is wrong) So i leave the airport and try to upload my flightplan to Simbrief. I learn how to export it from navigraph to simbrief via a copy function (!) and copy and paste texts. But I have to redo the plan, and i can only import the legs AFTER writing destination and departure and airplane.
Puh… Well i will simply make a new flightplan in the simbrief and try it.
But… My question is. Is it not possible for you to add some kind of import function of PLN files? To make it a bit more easy for us all?

Now back to simbrief. I want to learn the copy and paste function and how the Navigraph and simbrief functions. 
But i just realized that in order for me to use a PLN file i have to upload it to navigraph first and then export it via the copy and text function to a simbrief new flightplan i have prepared. Complicated stuff!
Does it have to be this complicated to use PLN files in simbrief? Am i the only one that ever have used a PLN file in these programs?

I’m not sure about your workflow and how you use these applications.
SimBrief and the charts are flightplanning tools, so the normal process is that you create the flightplan there, and then you can directly import the flightplan into the sim.
Where do you plan your flights when not using SimBrief or the charts? From where are your PLN files?

Well i have two. Or actually more, but two to begin with. One a route i made over norway, ingame. And saved. Another one an experiment i made with msfs and navigraph. (But there are lots of PLN files you can download online for the game like on flightsim.to ) I use them for scenic routes for example. But the experiment was between two airports only.
The use was to learn the system.
Well i found workarounds. I have learned how to import flightplans to G1000 now. I managed to do that but was interrupted by my doggie that needs to go out. And i can get the content of PLN plans to simbrief in different ways but with a prepared rudimentary flightplan. So i am satisfied. I have learned lots and have some understanding of your systems now. This will be good!
(But i still think there could be easier ways to get content of PLN files to simbrief. So ill keep it here as a new players perspective.)
But all is well. I am happy that i learned lots during my struggle and this Olaf guy helped me lots. <3 Now time to help the doggie.
