I am trying to open a topic but it will not let me. I get a red circle with a line through it. So, I will ask the question here. I cannot open the navigraph desktop app when I click on the icon. It just flashes quickly. I was being directed to a browser pages asking me how I would like to open the app. I have never had that before. It is becoming very confusing. All I want to do is remove 2101 and replace it with cycle 2102. I have an account but cannot post in the MSFS2020 forum. That does not add up.
Regards
OK, I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and for some strange reason it opened a web page and the app allowed me to update the cycle in MSFS2020. But, I still get nothing when I click on the desktop icon, so it looks as though I have to reinstall the app everytime I want to update the cycle? Again, makes no sense at all.
Regards
Hi Tom,
I dont know why you couldn’t post in MSFS Navdata Beta\General Category. I just did from a user account. I have moved your post here. Please let me know if you have further difficulties posting.
For MSFS Navdata Beta installer, when you click on desktop icon and get no result, please call up task manager using CTRL-Shift-Esc and search for application Navigraph. If multiple copies, please select each and Press End task.
Can you now call up Installer using desktop icon?
Cheers
Ian
Ian, Thank you for the speedy reply. I tried again and when I hover over the “New Topic” I still get the “red” circle with the line through it. I cannot click on it. I am signed in and it works in the other sub-forums. Also, your solution for the desktop link problem worked. Thanks for the tip, there were 3 instances of Navigraph listed in Task Manger.
Regards,
Tom
Hi Tom,
Please post screenshot of “red circle” with message using Guide to posting Screenshots.
We shall look into multiple copy issue.
Cheers

Ian, I just figured it out. I was trying to start a topic under the main Board “MSFS Navdata Beta”. That is why I was blocked from opening a New Topic. I can only open a topic when I am in one of the “Sub-Forums”, for eg. “General”. which is where I am now. So, everything is OK, my error. Sorry for the unintentional false alarm.
Regards.
Tom
Hi Tom,
Ah yes, glad that is resolved.
Also you access the started Beta Installer via icon in systray.
Cheers
Ian
