More often than not, the darker background text window disappears and I’m left with white waypoint text, which is very difficult to read on my moving maps desktop screen. This happens both on my Macbook Pro an Windows 11 machines. There seems to be no setting to use to change this behavior, but I remember once toggling the “Online traffic network setting” button and the text background windows reappears, but I haven’t been to replicate that since. Any suggestions?

I’ve been trying to replicate, but I cannot on any of my machines right now. It happened on a Vatsim flight last night and nothing I did could enable the colored text windows for the waypoint text. Just imagine the blue and green boxes around the wp text being invisible 
, leaving only the white text on a white background except when on top of magenta and green flight path. This has happened several times the past month or so.
