As the topic suggests, what does the dotted circle on the map mean when you’re planning a route using SimBrief?

Hi, likely the weather at LSGG is quite bad. Therefore, SimBrief has automatically assigned a takeoff alternate (presumably LIMC in this case).

The circle depicts the search area for the takeoff alternate, which typically must be within 1 hour at the one-engine-inoperative cruising speed.
