Weird direct routing on map despite a route being loaded

Trying to make an oceanic sim for myself with ChatGPT and over the course of debugging it, I’ve made several plans on Simbrief. However, not sure if it’s due to rate limiting or what, but for the last few hours, I’ve been trying to make certain plans which generate routes fine, but the map, and thus the XML import into my app, do not produce any waypoints. All I get on the map is a great circle route line, but no intermediate fixes. For example, SJU-JFK is showing DCT, DFW-JFK is showing DCT. It seems to be longer routes only. What’s weird is that shorter routes generate fine, and some longer overwater routes also generate fine.

Can someone explain to me what is going on? Thanks!

Hi, make sure to enable “Detailed Navlog” in the flight options:

Whoa that was fast. I have that selected. Just tried to create a brand new flight from scratch and it worked fine. Maybe just rehashed the same plan too much…

Additionally no upper air data was downloading that, noticed that right after my post:

We don’t rate limit the Detailed Navlog selection, so I’m not sure how or why it got disabled. All I can see from here is that it was disabled for some of your flights. :slight_smile:

It’s normal that the upper air data was also missing when Detailed Navlog was disabled, but it should be back now that you’ve re-enabled it.
