I was in two minds as to whether this is a minor issue or a wishlist request. I’ll let you decide.
When using the weather overlays, the altitude slider’s behaviour is slightly, well, irritating.
For starters, it always defaults to FL220, but no major harm there (many options could benefit from an option to save user-specific defaults):
When dragging the slider, it’s possible to go in 1000ft increments which is great. I know it wasn’t always possible.
However, the first time you click and drag, the slider doesn’t move until the mouse pointer has gone far enough, at which point it always jumps around 4000-5000ft up or down depending on direction. So to make a minor adjustment, you have to drag the slider too far and then drag it back towards its starting point.
Give it a go, it’s easy to see when you use it. As a mainly GA/VFR flyer, I often want to check the lower FLs and that is where it gets frustrating, needing painstaking care to choose a level, watching out for the big ‘jump’ that occurs, missing a batch of FLs.
