Wind conditions more specifically. It would be good for descent forecasts into certain airports.

Yes. But certain STAR procedures require vectors from a distant waypoint so for e.g given Manchester the last waypoint is DAYNE with the minimum altitude of 8000ft. In such cases where I’d need the forecasted winds for the final approach fix which I wouldn’t be able to obtain on the OFP if that makes sense.
