Since SU5 the Navigraph app in the EFB will work for a period of time then when loading another plane it will say that it needs to reload and if I click reload it just goes blank. It continues to work in 2d mode - only dies in VR. The simbrief app also won’t work in VR when this happens - it’s like it loses it’s connection to navigraph only in VR. Only way I’ve found to recover is to close flight simulator and reopen.

We have an existing thread with this issue however some success has been achieved with the below instructions
Can you try uninstalling the SimBrief plugin with Navigraph Hub and confirm the plugin has been removed from your community folder (important step here)
Once that is done, reinstall the SimBrief plugin again.
I uninstalled, made sure they were gone from the community folder, and then reinstalled all of the navigraph apps. It did not fix this issue. This only affects the EFB plug ins - the navigraph plug itself still works. I think this has to do with the change they made with SU5 where the VR EFB is not the same as the 2d EFB.
