Greetings,
I use Firefox as my default browser (judge me not), and for a long time (early 2025) it worked flawlessly, but recently I can not get moving maps running in Firefox, where I get the “Could not connect to simulator, Simlink needs to be running. Read more about simlink here.” error message.
Like in title, other browsers/devices all work and present the lovely magenta triangle.
No proxies, same accounts, no idea.
Please help.
Hello,
Welcome to the Navigraph Forums!
To use the Moving Map functionality, please check the points below:
- Ensure that you are Login into the Simlink application with your Navigraph account.
- If you are using Firefox, please refer to this FAQ.
- The Simlink application must be running on the same system where Flight Simulator is installed.
- That’s it!
If you encounter any issues with Navigraph products, please feel free to let us know.
Thank you!

Hi Vishalahir,
Hope you are well.
Checked:
-
Simlink app login same as Navigraph.
-
FAQ tried, did not resolve issue.
-
Simlink app running on same system.
-
Sadly, it isn’t - problem persists, Simlink is displaying in all other browsers and devices but not in local Firefox browser.
Further help would be appreciated.
Kind regards,
Mario Novak
Hello,
If the moving map is not displaying in the Navigraph Charts web application on Firefox, please follow these steps to clear your browser data:
- Open Firefox.
- Go to the browser settings and clear Cookies and Site Data, as shown in the attached image.
If you are still encountering issues with the moving map after clearing your data, please consider reinstalling Firefox. We would also appreciate it if you could send us a screenshot of the problem you are experiencing.
Thank you!
Best Regards,
Vishal Ahir
