When I attempt to export a flightplan from Navigraph Charts to X-Plane 11/12, I immediately get the error, “Failed to export flightplan.” For all other file extensions, I get the usual screen asking for the destination folder, but for the X-Plane 11/12 (.fms) option, it immediately returns the error message. Is this a known issue, or am I missing something? Thanks!
I have the same issue but with msfs2020.pln format. Tells me failed to export.
I have the same problem with exporting .fms files to Xplane 11/12
I’m running on iMac Pro. I thought it would be a privacy setting in the preference settings, but it isn’t
Hi,
Could you all paste your flight route string (use the “copy to clipboard” function) here? It might be that you are missing an approach, and if so we have a known bug at the moment which we are fixing. Set an approach if possible to enable export in the meanwhile.
Thanks,
Stephen
Hi Stephen,
Thanks for your reply.
I just created a new flight in Simbrief, EDDL to EDDF, and generated the flight in Simbrief
Imported the one in Navigraph and opened it. Exporting to Xplane 11/12 failed.
Enclosed the flight route as well as a screen print.
Thanks

Hi,
Yeah that one is missing an approach. It is the bug I mentioned above. It will be fixed, but in the meanwhile please add an approach to make the export work.

Stephen

Herewith another import from Simbrief. EHBK to EDDL

Hi,
Please try it again. X-Plane exporting should work also without approach set now.

Stephen
Hi Stephen,
Yes, I tried it and it works fine now with to without an approach.
Thanks very much for your help.

2 other point you might think of;
1- Navigraph V8 does not remember the location where the files are exported to. It opens the download file and not the FMS plans file within Xplane 12.
2- I’m running XP on an iMac and when you stop any app a period under the app in the dock will appear. (see enclosed screenshot). Navigraph does not start anymore when clicking on the app in the dock. You have to close the app completely (so with no period under it) to start it again.
