The turbulence and icing displays on the charts map appear not to be working. I looked at the Detroit area, which should be full of ice, but nothing shows up at any FL.

Indeed, this is the same issue.
At the moment there is no easy fix for this, the data has been removed from our NOAA source. We’ll try to find a new source for these layers, but they are inoperative until further notice. We will hide them in the app soon to avoid confusion!
