one question…Simbrief seams to calculate always with Flaps 5 for the B737-800NG and also the Improved Climb Calculations is always on without such a disk to save the settings to set it to off. ( see attached )
I did a calculation with the same numbers with the well known VPT and the VPT calcualtes Flaps 1 for TakeOff.
So i ask why Simbrief always uses Flaps 5 and if we can have a Option to save the Settings for the Improved Climb Calculations. So that we can save the settings for that for the next Calculation and do not need to change it every Time.
SimBrief defaults to Flap 5 for the -800 and -900 because it was requested/reported that many real-world operators default to this. Of course different airlines may treat this differently.
SimBrief will however still use Flaps 1 if it is required (normally at high/hot airports where the second segment climb gradient is limiting).
Saving a default Improved Climb setting may come at some point. I have moved your post to the Feature Requests section to gauge interest.
There are many requests for new features. Derek has already replied indicating your post has been moved here to gauge interest. So far there have been two votes.
but that are soo little change request, and could be very fast implemente, but they have such a big influence for some of us. Maybe most who want that too, have not seen the Vote.
