Subject: Feature Suggestions for Enhanced Airport Navigation Experience

Hello!

I hope you’re doing well. As an avid aviation enthusiast, I’d like to share a couple of suggestions that could further enhance the realism and navigation experience for users at airports.

  1. Taxiway Route Visualization: Implementing a visual taxiway route system, similar to flight routes in the air, would make ground navigation significantly clearer. Highlighting taxi routes from gates to runways (and vice versa) would improve user efficiency, particularly for those simulating real-world operations.
  2. Taxiway Identification Display: While there is already an option for real-time aircraft location, adding taxiway signage (e.g., K5, M, etc.) to the display would be incredibly beneficial. A small section in the bottom left corner showing the specific taxiway or runway the aircraft is currently on would provide much-needed situational awareness. This would help users navigate more effectively and improve communication with ATC, especially on platforms like VATSIM, where taxiway identification is crucial for precise reporting.

Thank you for considering these ideas. I believe they could enhance the overall immersion and realism of airport operations for all users.

I added a picture that would simulate what I meant to…
(The white dot with a red outline in the bottom right represents the aircraft, and I’ve highlighted the taxiways that the pilot should follow.)

Best regards,
Matan
