On a flight from Denver (KDEN) to Salt Lake City(KSLC) I was assigned the following flight plan from simbrief. KDEN**/25 N0450F400 ZIMMR3 CHNGY DCT EKR PITTT1 KSLC/**16R
The ZIMMR3 Departure SID was assigned and a chart for the departure was in the pin board area as expected along with airport diagrams and once I selected the ILS for runway 26R the appropriate Approach’s were placed in the pin board as well. The only thing that wasn’t was the PITTT1 Star arrival. I looked at 3 dots to the right of the arrival in the planning area and only “INFORMATION” and “REMOVE” were shown. I had to jump back to the Airport, select “STAR” then at the PITTT1 arrival I could then select Overlay or PIN. Those options were not available in the actual flight plan and I had to select it in the airport info to get it visible. Please see photos below. I have noticed this on other airports mostly on the STAR’s not being pinned. Hopefully this info helps get it corrected.
Is the issue that the PITTT1 STAR can’t be added to pinboard directly from the three dots, but needs to be added to pinboard via STAR arrivals for KSLC?
Maybe give an example at this airport or another where you see the behaviour you are seeking.
Yes, This was an example that the PIttt1 star was not added automatically from a Simbrief import. Nor was it selectable in the flight plan to pin it or overlay it as only the information and remove options were available
here is another example on importing a flight from Simbrief from CYUL to KJFK. It pulled in the flight plan, but the STAR for PUCKY1 is not pinned nor is it selectable to pin or overlay from the flight plan 3 dot. It should add it to the pinned area automatically and as you see in the pinned area it is not added nor is there a way to pin it or overlay it. Is there a configuration item that needs to be selected?
Here is an example of one working correctly using the same process. KMEM to KMCI
KMEM**/18R N0443F320 ZUMIT5 FOXOM DCT KM36I DCT KRTNY MHOMS3 KMCI/**19L
Notice the Arrival is automatically pinned and the options in the 3 dot include “Opening” and “Overlay” options
I am happy to report that this issue has been fixed in the latest AIRAC cycle (2601)! I checked both routes you provided and the charts are now auto-pinned. The issue should be resolved for other airports that had this issue, too.
