After reviewing every forum post I could find about Simlink not connecting to sim here is my details. I have P3Dv4 on my C: drive and v5 installed on my X: drive. V4 will connect to simlink but v5 will not. I checked p3dv5 add-ons folder per the post about multiple versions and there is no shortcut showing for v5. I checked my simlink Plugin Settings and both have the green check mark and they look like the path in the Simlink install and Systray post dated Sep ‘20 –
C:\Users\ \Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\Navigraph Simlink (for v5; the same for v4 except for being in the v4 Add-ons). I have redone an uninstall and reinstall of simlink several times and it says it is successful but the results are the same.
The other thing I noticed is there is no listing inside my v5 sim Addons menu for simlink but I don’t know why it is not connecting after searching this forum for a fix.
Here is the Navigraph Simlink xml text in my v5 add-ons folder:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?><SimBase.Document Type=“AddOnXml” version=“5,0” id=“add-on”>
<AddOn.Name>Navigraph Simlink</AddOn.Name>
<AddOn.Description>Sends simulator reports to Navigraph Charts</AddOn.Description>
<AddOn.Component>
DLL
NavigraphSimlink_64.dll
</AddOn.Component>
</SimBase.Document>
The path to my v5 install is: X:\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5
My simlink version is 1.1.19.0104 and is set for Auto updates in the settings.
Any help would be appreciated so I can get this working.
Thanks,
Jerry
