SimLink won't connect to FSX and it does not install its plugins either

Hi,

I’ve recently downloaded SimLink and after installing it, I have been trying to make it work, I’ve read a lot of posts here and I’ve already tried a lot of possible solutions, but with no luck.

I am running FSX and installed SimLink version 1.1.36.1011

I have already allowed SimLink through my firewall, but I think that is not the problem, since the other Navigraph apps can connect to the internet without any problem.

I have also noticed that it seemed like SimLink didn’t “install” or “add” any .dll or plugin into my FSX root folder.

I also have a current log that shows that the SimLink app is looking for an “existing MSF2020” which is not installed, instead of FSX.

Here I have a part of my log file, and it also shows that the pluginstatus is 0

I do not know what else should I do to make it work

Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance! :grinning:

Hi,

FSX requires Simlink plugins to connect with the Simlink application.

Please check the Simlink application to see if the plugins for FSX are installed. If FSX is not listed as shown in the image below, please install the plugins using the Simlink Plugins Window.

After installing the plugins, launch FSX. During startup, you will receive a message prompting you to enable the Simlink plugins. Please make sure to allow the Simlink plugin in FSX.

If you continue to experience issues, feel free to reach out to us.

Thank you.

3 posts were split to a new topic: Simlink X-Plane 12 connaction issue

Thank you, Ahir for your fast response.

But no, I am still not able to load the plugin into FSX or make SimLink to work either. I’ve tried with the steps you mentioned and many others that are mentioned in previous posts before.

When “installing” the plugins, it shows that they were successfully added or installed, but I think that there might be an error, because as you can see in the logs, it says that plugin status0 which I think it means that there are no loaded plugins.

When I first installed it, I did it before running my FSX and when I opened it, FSX never prompted me to allow any plugin to be run or whatsoever.

I also checked the root installation folder of FSX and couldn’t find any plugin there, which I think that they’re installed inside the “gauges” folder.

I am completely lost :frowning:

Hello,

Simlink detects two versions of FSX. Could you please let me know which version you are currently using?

If you have already uninstalled one version of FSX, the registry entry for the old version may still exist, which could be causing issues with loading the Simlink plugins.

You can find the Simlink plugins in the <FSX DIR>/gauges folder.

Please clean up the registry by removing the entries for any old or uninstalled versions of FSX, and then reinstall the Simlink plugins.

Thank you.

Thanks again for your response,

I can see that the plugin was added into FSX, but when I open the FSX it does not prompt me to accept or allow any plugin to run.

And no, I only have one version of FSX installed, I do not know why it is showing the Steam version.

Any other suggestions would be very appreciated

And I am also still seeing this on the log file:
